What a Performance Includes
A Suli Breaks live set typically opens with a piece that establishes the emotional landscape — inviting the audience into the world of the performance before they have even settled. The set moves through original work covering themes of identity, purpose, social change, and human connection, closing with something that lingers. Performances can be fully self-contained or integrated into a wider programme as an opener, closer, or centrepiece.
Bespoke Commissioned Pieces
For organisations and events that want something created specifically for them, Suli writes and performs commissioned pieces — original spoken word built around your organisation’s story, your event’s theme, or a specific brief. Past commissions include pieces for Black History Month celebrations, brand launches, awards evenings, and cultural institutions. A commissioned piece typically takes 2–3 weeks to develop, including a brief call and a draft review before the event.
Types of Events
Suli performs at corporate galas, awards ceremonies, and D&I events; festival headline and support slots; university freshers’ events and graduation celebrations; cultural institution programmes; brand activations and product launches; and private events where live performance is the centrepiece. He has performed at events ranging from 50 to several thousand people across the UK, Europe, and North America.
Technical Requirements
Suli’s technical rider is straightforward — a clear stage or performance area, a PA system appropriate for the venue, and a single microphone. For larger venues, a spotlight or stage lighting is preferred. Full technical requirements are provided on booking confirmation.

How long is a live performance set?
Standalone sets run 20–45 minutes. For events integrating performance into a wider programme, a 15–20 minute set is also available. For headline shows, Suli performs full 60–90 minute sets.
Can Suli perform at outdoor festivals?
Yes. Suli has performed on outdoor festival stages and is experienced with festival production environments. He is comfortable with large, standing audiences and festival-format sound rigs.
Is a sound check required?
A brief 15-minute sound check before the event is strongly preferred. For larger venues and festivals, a full technical run-through is standard.
Can Suli perform at private events?
Yes — private performances for milestone events, corporate celebrations, and brand occasions are available. These are treated with the same level of preparation and craft as any public appearance.
